What’s Next? Help Choose our Next Great Hardware Items

WhatsNext

We added almost 100 items to our hardware line last year, and are off to a good start this year with 19 released and at least than many already in the works.  (You will have to wait till they get here to see them)!

I listen to all the feedback I get and look around to see what’s happening in the world to get an idea of what to invest inventory dollars in.

Right now I’m a bit if a juncture and I’d like some feedback on which way to go. I’m looking at a couple of styles of black nickel clipboard clips or a couple of styles of antique brass binder rings.  I have small customers for both products, in box building, scrapbooking and in the display industry.  I’m kinda on the fence.

I don’t do surveys, but if you have an opinion, please comment on this post or let me know it is something you might buy if it were around.

Of course, I’m also listening if you think I’m barking up the wrong tree… 😉

Thanks

-Neil

3 – 8″ continuous hinges with off set screw holes would be good, along with more antique and polished brass box trimmings, i.e. metal corners, old tacks, strapping, leather handles etc.

I just found your website and am very excited that something this unique is Canadian. I am a scrapbooker and woodworker and really appreciate your effort to provide options for both. As a scrapbooker I would choose the brass 3 ring set for albums. I don’t know how many Canadian scrappers know you are here but I’m sure if they did you would be hearing from a lot of them. We need companies like yours.
One request for your consideration…many scrappers make their own albums and are always on the lookout for Canadian made securing systems that keep the open edge of the album closed. If you could find some closure things or fasteners that had rings on top and bottom which a chain, or leather or ribbon could be attached…
Thanks for the opportunity to provide input.

I just found y’all when looking for a small hasp. I make custom fitted handgun boxes & your hardware will be a lifesaver for me. You have most of the stuff I need. I’ll be placing an order soon! Now as to a question or recommendation.
Like the idea of a continuous hinge that Tim suggested. I could use brass dowels ( I currently make my own) & some type of lid stop. Maybe brass chain? Now to the ? part. Will the adhesive used in the flocking process melt craft foam? I use either a firm craft foam or cut outs from anti fatigue mats for the French inletting in my boxes. Flocking MIGHT be the easy answer to lining the box. Cut the foam to a semi close fit then add the flocking. Would save a lot of time in fitting velvet or flannel to the box.
    Thanks
